Basic Information

This group is active in India, Pakistan, Burma and Bangladesh. It is also known as Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). Also known as Qaidat al-Jihad in the Indian Subcontinent, Jama'at Qaidat al-Jihad fi Shibh al-Qarrah al-Hindiyah, or Organization of the Base of Jihad in the Indian Subcontinent.

The RAND Corporation is a nonprofit institution dedicated to high-quality and objective research and analysis and with sophisticated analytical tools.
