MI Museums Walking Tour

Stop 23 -- Rodney Hall

(Building 41402)

Built as regimental and post headquarters in 1917, the first occupant was Captain George B. Rodney, who commanded Fort Huachuca and the 10th Cavalry during the WWI period, having rapidly advanced to the rank of Colonel by the time he left in 1918. The building has housed various command and support offices since, and today is the headquarters for the garrison commander and staff, who controls the operations of the fort as the equivalent of a city mayor.

This concludes the walking tour, but there are several other places you can visit by driving, including the Buffalo Soldier Statue, Post Cemetery, and Reservoir Hill.
